Refresher Training Courses for Hazardous Materials

Refresher training courses have to be taken by individuals employed for jobs that involve hazardous waste operations from time to time. This training has to be taken by employees for ensuring safety at the workplace.

According to
the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, all those who are employed at the hazardous waste sites and have taken up the 40 hour or the 24 hour courses previously, need to take up the Hazwoper refresher training course every year. This has to be done to maintain the validity of their certificate. Also, the trainees will be kept abreast of all the latest changes and current developments that have been made in their field.

The employers that have workers carrying out hazardous waste activities need to provide all the necessary information regarding the hazardous materials training courses to them. If, in case the employer fails to provide this information, the employees can always look online. The federal agency has its own website where it provides information regarding online training schools and organizations. There are many other Hazmat schools that can be consulted for training purposes.

If employees fail to take up the refresher training course every year, they will be required to take the 24 hour training or the 40 hour training course again.
